Expect The Unexpected (2015)

I often hear people say that the things we desire the most tend to come when we least expect them. This saying can't be more accurate. Often times, we find ourselves obsessing over our "heart's desires", when in fact, we should be seeking God and His purpose for our lives. Those "things" could become idols in our lives--even the good things (i.e. husband, wife, children, accomplishments, money, etc.). His word says, in Matthew 6:33: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (NIV). So, we should rest assured knowing that if we seek a personal relationship with God and put the things of God first, He will be certain to give us the desires of our hearts at the appointed time... typically, when we least expect it! The key here is to trust His timing! But trust can only be established through relationships!
